Juliet’s Journal
“A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people.”

Kid portraits
Freeze time. You’ll be glad you did!
This top image is of my children, and the story of it warms my heart: We used to walk to school every day in Austin, Texas. My little one was in preschool that started later so she came along, sometimes in her nightgown and pants just to get out of the house first thing. They are teenagers now, we don’t live there anymore or walk to school in superhero costumes. But once upon a time, we did.
As I look at the assortment of images here, I am so grateful to see these faces just as they were on the day we took these pictures. Kids change quickly, and later on a portrait session can be seen as a time capsule, a vibrant moment in time now remembered for ages.
Fog
I have a show of fog images up at Greig Farm in Red Hook for a few more weeks in the gallery next to the market. I will be there tomorrow, Saturday 3/20 midday. Come say hi, see the photos, get lunch, check out the vendors at SOHU, feed goats, walk the trails! I just planned Saturday for you.
