Actor Headshots
Actor headshots have been part of my photographic language since college. This was long before algorithms, self-tapes, and casting portals reshaped the industry.
I began photographing actors while studying at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, alongside performers who were learning their craft in real time. That early immersion shaped how I see actors: not as “types,” but as people learning how to be read through a frame.
That foundation still informs my work today, paired with an ongoing awareness of how casting actually functions now.
Editorial Images
Once we’ve captured your core headshots, many actors choose to continue with editorial-style portraits.
I often suggest bringing additional wardrobe and treating this portion of the session as a time to play, as if we were shooting for a glossy magazine.
These images are:
Looser, more expressive, and story-driven
Ideal for press, websites, social media, and personal branding
Designed to show range, mood, and personality beyond the headshot frame
They’re not a replacement for headshots; they’re an expansion of how you show up in the industry.
